Phenolic foam material is an organic polymer rigid foam product, which is a closed-cell type rigid foam made of phenolic resin and flame retardant, foaming agent, curing agent and other additives. Phenolic foam is known as the king of insulation because of its low thermal conductivity, heat preservation and fire resistance.

Phenolic foam is the most promising new type of thermal insulation material in the construction industry because this material not only has low thermal conductivity, good thermal insulation performance, but also has flame retardancy, good thermal stability, and is lightweight. It also has high heat resistance, high mechanical strength, provides strong sound insulation, strong chemical resistance, and good weather resistance.

It was first applied to aerospace, defense engineering, and was later widely used in civil aircraft, ships, station oil wells and other fire-resistant applications, including thermal insulation, energy conservation, sanitation and other high-rise building central air conditioning systems.

It can also be applied to cold storage in refrigeration, insulation for industrial pipes and equipment such as petrochemicals, building partitions, exterior wall composite panels, ceilings, and sound-absorbing panels.

Penolic foam for air duct applications.

Lightweight

Phenolic is an extremely durable and tough material that is exceptionally more lightweight than aluminium but offers many of the same benefits and applications.
Soundproof

Phenolic foam insulation board has excellent sound absorption characteristics, and the open-cell foam structure characteristics are more conducive to sound absorption.
Fire Retardant

Phenolic boards are fire retardant due to the presence of phenolic resins in their composition. Phenolic resins are polymers that have excellent fire-resistant properties.
Thermal Stability

Phenolic boards are designed to withstand high temperatures without significant degradation ensuring the insulation remains effective in extreme temperatures.
Long Service Life

Phenolic boards are engineered to be highly durable and resistant to wear, moisture, and impact, chemical and UV resistant, and also resistant to insects and fungi.
Antifungal

Phenolic boards are resistant to fungal growth. This resistance is due to the properties of phenolic resins and the materials used for reinforcement, such as paper or wood fibres.

Penolic foam for wall insulation.

Phenolic foam is a rigid insulation board used for timber and steel framing systems, consisting of a rigid thermoset-modified resin insulation core, covered with low-emissivity composite foil on both sides, improving thermal resistance in adjacent unventilated cavities. The product is manufactured with a 0 ODP and low GWP blowing agent, which makes it very eco-friendly. It can be used to control potential condensation problems, especially if combined with a vapour-resistant layer placed on the warm side of the insulation.
